Thesis Title: Influence of Valve Timing on SI Engine Performance

 

Brief Description:

 

A second degree mathematical model of SI engine based on cylinder by cylinder engine model combining both physical and empirical formulae is being developed in SIMULINK. The mathematical model will be validated using experimental data from a specific spark ignition engine. Different possible valve actuation processes will be tried out later and their effect will be studied under various engine conditions.
