Research

I am interested in modeling and simulation of dynamic systems, particularly automotive and robot control systems. Dynamic control of autonomous mobile robots, vehicle traction control, fault detection and isolation and so on – there is ample opportunity of research to be done in the field of dynamics and control. The other research topic that piqued my interest is the design and fabrication of MEMS and embedded mechatronics systems as sensors and actuators in fields like bioinstrumentation, tactile sensing, medical telerobotics and biomimetics etc. Currently, I am working on my Master’s research on variable valve timing of SI engines. The ongoing computational research, based on an engine model developed in SIMULINK, will focus on different possible valve actuation processes and their influence on different engine conditions.
